The Medio Fondo route was designed for the rider who wants a challenge but with out so many kilometers. Don't get us wrong this is still a competitive route that is just as challenging and scenic as the Gran Fondo route minus the last two climbs. You will start your race with everyone at the iconic Angel of Independance and enjoy the morning race energy. From there everyone leaves together for a short warm up on flat roads, and then begins the first of two leg working climbs. This year the Gran and Medio Fondo will both finish together on top of the Marquesa at the same finish area where everyone can celebrate there achievements and share their war stories of the race course. Prizes will be awarded to overall and age group winners at the main podium ceremony at the finish area.
The Medio Fondo route total 70km in distance and a total of 1766m (5793ft) of climbing with a max gradient of 7.6%.
